What is the mission
of the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation?
The
Mission of the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation
is to assist the health care professionals of Saint Joseph Hospital, Saint Joseph East and Saint
Joseph -
Jessamine who provide compassionate, curative, spiritual care to all who
seek it through charitable, educational, and scientific programs that build
healthy communities in the tradition and spirit of Sisters of Charity of
Nazareth.
How
does the Foundation help Saint Joseph
Hospital , Saint
Joseph East, Saint Joseph-Mount Sterling and Saint Joseph-Jessamine?
The Saint Joseph Foundation supports
several
programs and services
that directly benefit the patients and
their families. Through your gifts and special events such as
our annual golf tournaments
and our annual black tie galas
in Lexington and
Mount Sterling , Saint Joseph Foundation can continue to
provide assistance to patients and families at Saint Joseph Hospital , Saint
Joseph East,
Saint Joseph - Mount Sterling and Saint Joseph - Jessamine.
Why should I give?
Many
of our worthwhile programs and services
require continuous support such as the Nursing and Allied
Health Scholarships, the Free Health Clinic, Appalachian Outreach Program,
Patient Family Assistance Fund and Employee Family Assistance Fund. Your
gift supports those program and services that directly help our patients and their families. Saint Joseph Hospital , Saint
Joseph East, Saint Joseph -
Mount Sterling and Saint Joseph - Jessamine would be
unable to provide the high level of compassionate care it does today without
your support.
Gifts to the Saint Joseph Foundation are tax deductible to the
extent the law allows.
Who determines
how my gift is used?
You may designate your gift to be used
however you wish. The Saint Joseph Foundation supports several
programs and services
that require continuous support. If you do not designate
how your gift is to be used, it will go to the area of greatest need as
determined by Foundation staff and Board of Directors.
How do I make a donation in honor or in memory of
someone?
You
can remember someone special by sending your gift and request
to the Saint
Joseph Foundation office or online at Make A Donation. Please provide
an address so the Foundation may send the acknowledgement to the
person being honored or to the family the gift is in memory
of. A receipt will be mailed to you acknowledging your gift was
received.
How do I include
Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation and Saint Joseph - Mount Sterling Foundation in my will?
Over the past several years Saint Joseph
Foundation has been made aware, on numerous occasions, of individuals that had
left us in their estate plans. It was with great care and generosity
that these individuals chose to remember the Saint Joseph Foundation and the
excellent programs and services it supports. The Saint Joseph Foundation
developed the
Legacy Society
for those gracious donors that
remembering us in their will. More information can be found by

You can view the Foundation's newsletter

Can I make a gift online?
Yes! You
can send a gift to Saint Joseph Foundation at anytime online by selecting
the
Make A Donation
link. You can then select the appropriate
hospital and what program you would like your gift to go towards.
Please note: Not all hospitals within
Saint Joseph
Health System have the same programs and services. You may also call our office at 859.313.1705
to make a gift.

can I get involved as a volunteer?
Time
is a gift that becomes more valued to us each day. Your willingness to devote your time
testifies to the compassionate commitment the community as to Saint Joseph Hospital and Saint Joseph East. There are several ways to volunteer your
time at Saint
Joseph Hospital and Saint Joseph East. For more details, please

How
much of my dollars goes to fundraising and administration
expenses?
Saint
Joseph Hospital Foundation strives each year to achieve the lowest fundraising
cost to ensure that your dollars go to the vital programs and services of
Saint Joseph
Hospital , Saint
Joseph East,
Saint Joseph - Mount Sterling and Saint Joseph -
Jessamine. Last year, 86 cents of every dollar went
to programs and services such as the Nursing and Allied
Health Scholarships, the Free Health Clinic, Appalachian Outreach Program,
Patient Family Assistance Fund and Employee Family Assistance
Fund.
