History
E stablished on the grounds of Berea College in 1898, Saint
Joseph - Berea , a 25 bed critical care access hospital, serves the
residents of Madison, Jackson, Rockcastle, Estill and Garrard counties. The
hospital includes a fully staffed 24-hour emergency department, Berea Family
Medicine, Breast Center, Berea Specialty Clinic, Diabetes and Nutrition Center,
Heart Institute, Rehabilitation Services, Sleep Wellness Center and Surgical
Services. True to its mission, Saint Joseph - Berea is dedicated to the healing
mission of the Church, emphasizing human dignity, social justice and the
creation of healthier communities.
Saint Joseph - Berea is a 2008
Kentucky Hospital Association's Clinical Patient Safety and Quality
Award
recipient.
Saint Joseph - Berea was named once
again one of the top 25 Best Places to Work in
Kentucky
by the Kentucky Society for Human Resource
