Express Pass privileges are available through the Pre-Admission Screening
Service
(PASS) to all preoperative and pre-procedure patients prior to their
admission date. Experienced
nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) and trained to care for patients with multiple needs. The PASS
nurses work to ensure all patients pre-admission procedures, tests, histories
and forms are completed allowing for expedited admission and minimal delays the
day of their scheduled procedure. Additionally,
the nurses provide procedure
specific education to both the patient and their
family, better preparing the
patient and their support system for care post discharge.
Staff members are
uniquely trained to provide the support services needed for any
perioperative
experience. The day-surgery staff attends to all pre-operative patients
and
post-operative recovery and discharge for outpatients.
